So a lot has happen in the past couple of months. Buck and I have several things to tell you about. I guess the last time I blogged was Shelley’s First Birthday. So since April ton of things have happens. The month of May started out a little slow but ended with a huge bang!!!!!
Buck, Shelley and I hit a few local high school baseball games the end of April. Grissom (ewwww) made it passed the city tournament and they survived I believe the 2nd round of the state play offs. It was getting a little hot for the bean to be out so we didn’t get the chance to go to the play offs. Bean celebrated her first Easter. We went to an Eggstravaganza at Allison’s house. She got to have her picture taken with the bunny and she hunted for Easter eggs

Eater Morning she woke up to a small Easter basket filled with goodies that she enjoyed. She didn’t care too much for the blue peeps.

We then went to the Stars game for the day and had a blast. She got a chocolate treat from the stars staff. She didn’t care for it. Momma and Daddy took one for the team and finished it off.

Then we went to see the grandparents for Easter. Pa loved her little dress. She decided to walk around with it lifted up. I am not sure where she got that from. Ya Ya and Poppy had a basket for Shelley too that had M&Ms and Jelly bean in them. She enjoyed them with Ricky and Roxy. :)

It has been a while since I have posted. I have now written in my planner that I need to blog every Monday morning. So I am going to try and stick to that schedule. I have said that……I truly am going to try and do that. If I have it written down in my planner (Buck hates that book), I usually follow it. So I suppose the last thing that I wrote about was Buck and deciding to build a house in Owens Cross Roads. So we picked a lot and we went on the production schedule April 1, 2009. YEAH!!!! We are super excited. We are thinking about where we want to put furniture and what colors we want to paint the walls. We have picked out all the stuff that we need to for Adams Homes. The Brink color is greysih with specks of red brick. The doors and shutters are going to be black. It should look really nice. I had my cousin Melanie helps me out with the color selection and help me pick out colors for the walls. The Adams people are going to paint one color. So she helped me pick out the colors for when we close on the house. I think I am going to use our friend Ash who owns his own painting company. He is going to do it for a really good price and do it very quickly.

Shelley has turned 1. She had a wonderful party at her ya-ya’s house. She got tons of presents and I still don’t know where I am going to put them all. She ate the cake like a champ. She got it everywhere. I absolutely loved it! I just can’t believe that my sweet baby girl is one! The time has flown by so quickly. She has just don’t so much since she was born. She is now walking and trying to talk. It seems that she knows what she wants and trying to get us to understand is the problem.

NEW HOUSE!!!!!

So Buck and I are thinking about building a house that we can grow old in. We have talked about it for a little while and had decided on the place that we would like to build. We love the idea of being closer to our parents. Mine are not that far away and his dad lives maybe 5 minutes closer than before. The school zone is great because they just broke ground on a new Elementary School and Middle school. We have decided the Carrington Subdivision in Owens Cross Roads is the perfect place to call home. We have looked over the 15 or so different housing plans and decided on the 1675. It is actually the square feet count too! So we are getting a bigger house! 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a huge master suite and I am so excited about that. I think Buck is excited about the whirlpool and the fact he might be able to use the walk in closet instead of using the guest bedroom closet. Shelley will have a dedicated playroom that in the future we can turn it into the office or a guest room.
Not much to say except we are excited to get started building.

Sick Weekend....:(

This past weekend was a long one for the Bishop household. Friday Shelley got sick right after lunchtime at school. So I had to go get her and brought her back to work with me until Buck could get off work around 1. That meant that she was only going to be here like an hour or so. Buck came and got her around 1 oclock and I finished working for the day. I told Buck to watch her and see if she might have just gotten strangled on something that she ate or what she really coming down with something. We were supposed to go over to the Smith’s house for games and pizza but I didn’t want her going if she was sick. He said that she didn’t get sick anymore and we were good to go out to the Smith’s for game night. We headed out to Madison and had a wonderful night. She was playing like normal with all the other kids and then when it was time to lay down she laid down like normal. Well she was up like an hour later and then we left and drove home. Again everything was normal on the drive home.
Saturday was pretty normal. We just played and played in the floor and fed her normal foods. Shelley was going to spend the night at her Ya-Ya ‘s house while we went to church at 5 and then the hockey game at 7:35. So when we arrived to drop her off with my mom she got so sick. She threw up everywhere. Buck and I thought it was just her getting chocked on the feeders that she had with her. So we hosed her down and changed her and went on our merry way. We went to church and didn’t hear anything and all through the first two periods of the Hockey game and I noticed I was getting call from mom and dad. When I answered it was dad asking me what we would do if she got sick again. I told him that we would come and get her and he said that he would try the pedialite juice and see if it was just a stomach bug. We didn’t hear anything the rest of the night and went home after the game and went to bed.
Sunday Morning we woke up to the phone ringing and it was my mom telling me that she had a fever. So I got dressed and went over the mountain to get her. Well let me just back up here for a min. I forgot to tell you that Buck has gotten food poisoning on Sat night from the chicken he made at the house around lunchtime. Neither the bean nor me had any. So during the game Buck started Throwing up everything. I still think it was the bug and he thinks it was the chicken.
So Sunday for me was not the best at all. Buck stayed in bed and tried to help best he could and bean was sick. We called her Dr and he gave her some meds to help her with getting sick. They seem to be working so we sent her to school on Monday. I literally waited by the phone all day for the phone call telling me that she had to come home and never got one. But in the mean time I had gotten sick a few times. I ended up going home and going to the Dr myself. I got a shot and two prescriptions and went home and went to bed. Buck got home and told me that he had gotten a call from her school as he was on his way to get her telling him that Shelley has a 103 temperature. Not good!!!! She was not allowed to come back to school until she was symptom free. So Tuesday she stayed home with me (who was in bed all day). She went to the Dr at 4:30 with her daddy and she was not a happy camper. She saw Dr. Stewart and he took blood, a urine sample and gave her a shot to try and make her feel better. He told us that her White Blood Count was high and wasn’t sure exactly why it was that high. Was hoping that it was the virus that had been going around but wanted us to bring Shelley back for more blood work the next day. He was a little nervous that the infection could have been in her bloodstream. So we went back the next day and everything had gone down. She was still sick and didn’t need to go to school until Monday but the virus that the entire family has now gotten was just causing her levels to be high. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers that everyone sent our way.

Until next time….

Long Weekend

Well this past weekend was long but filled with lots of fun. Friday night Buck, Shelley and I went to the Hockey game to watch the Havoc win. Shelley laughed and clapped the entire game.
Saturday Shelley went over to Pas house and played in the floor till she fell to sleep. Buck went and picked her up and played with her until I got home from Scrap booking with friends. Then Shelley went to her Ya-Ya’s to spend the night. Buck, Buddy and I went to the Hockey game and sat down on the ice with 6 other people. It was so much fun! Afterwards we went to listen to Jonathan Carter play music and he did a wonderful job.
Sunday we went to pick up Shelley at mom’s and then drove to Boaz. We didn’t buy much but we had a good time shopping.

Sad Beginning

So 2009 has started off on a sad note. Buck's mother sadly passed away on Dec 31st and was buried on the 3rd of Jan. It has made for some sad times lately. Shelley really didn’t get the chance to meet Ma (to where she will remember) but, Buck and I will make sure that she will always be in her life. She was a very special woman. She never judged anyone and lived her life just like she wanted to. That is one thing that makes Buck happy during this time…..she did things her way. Shelley had 9 wonderful months with Ma and we have several pictures of her and ma to show her in the future. We would ask that everyone still keep us in your thoughts and prayers while we are going such a hard time.

Ma and Shelley playing on Halloween.

New Year!!! New Blog!!!

So I am the lame one that is going to have to start a new blog. I guess the inactivity from the old one means that I lost it too. So I really want to try and get this one up and running. My ideal thought would be to update this every week.....ha, who am I kidding? But anyhow I hope to update on the major stuff with the bean and with me and Buck.
