So looking back on the blog i started in 2009, obviously i have not blogged in a while. So I am gonna try and do it once a week. I enjoy so much reading other friends blogs and about whats going on in their lives. I am seriously gonna make an effort to do this....
January started off very slow. Holidays were great for the Bishop family. I knew they were fixin to get busy with wedding preparation for Whitney. Buck went outta town for a work thing during Jan. Shelley slept with me every night. I should have known not to sleep with her...she is so restless. I think I got hit in the head like 5 times during the night.
On the 21st of January, Buck and I went to Nashville for the night. For Christmas I got Buck his first pair of tickets to a Nashville Predators game. I think it was his favorite gift. I used points for the room and we were right around the corner from the Arena. It was so cold that weekend. We also were up there at the same time that Chad and Logan (my cousins) were playing travel hockey games. Got to see them both play. Buck and I love Nashville so much. We love going out downtown and seeing the different music acts. One place will be a Rock band and then the next will be Rockabilly (Buck's favorite)...
We have been able to catch up on our Havoc games this year. During the Christmas and Holiday time There was a lot that we missed due to the Living Christmas Tree. We love seeing our friends and watching the games. Shelley is in love with Chaos...she gets all giddy when he is around. I have a favorite player this year...after many years of waiting. Sam Cannata....he is so pretty. That is all!
On a sad note, Buck's grandfather Papa was put in ICU. He had a piece of lung removed when some cancer cells were found. The night of his surgery it was discovered that fluids were not coming out of his body. His Kidney's were in trouble. He was put in the Cardiac ICU to be more closely monitored. Things have just gone downhill from there. Blood Pressure issues, heart issues and still has the kidney issues. We are all hoping a miracle comes along and Papa is back to the same ole Papa.
Nashville was upon again the first weekend in Feb. Whitney was getting married and she, myself and the rest of her bridesmaids were all ready to make the best of the weekend. There were 6 of us total...which is a perfect number. We had a blast. Whitney got drinks bought for her, songs sung to her and was celebrated the whole night.
The following weekend was the wedding we have all been waiting for. It was so cold last weekend. Fun was had by all. Some of the surprises that took place we the M&Ms that mom had made for the guest favor. They were pictures of Whitney and Jay and then the other ones had Ingram (their dog) on them. So Cute! Then another surprise was the grooms cake, it was in the shape of a giant armadillo (no just kidding) it was in the shape of Bryant Denny Stadium. The Cake Lady was AWESOME! The caterers surprise for them was the 2009 National Championship trophy was at the rehearsal dinner and then the centerpiece for the wedding. Oh yea...Shelley was the flower girl...
The last big surprise was the ring....my mother had given Jay some of the diamonds from one of my grandmother's rings to help make Whitney's wedding band. It was so special. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. Also, Jay's grandmother had donated some of the diamonds from her ring to help make it that much more special. Such a unique way of knowing how love has brought the two of them together.
Ok enough of the sappy stuff......
I think that catches us up for this year. I am wondering if i set a reminder will i continue to blog? or is it going to be another year before i do it again?
