NEW HOUSE!!!!!

So Buck and I are thinking about building a house that we can grow old in. We have talked about it for a little while and had decided on the place that we would like to build. We love the idea of being closer to our parents. Mine are not that far away and his dad lives maybe 5 minutes closer than before. The school zone is great because they just broke ground on a new Elementary School and Middle school. We have decided the Carrington Subdivision in Owens Cross Roads is the perfect place to call home. We have looked over the 15 or so different housing plans and decided on the 1675. It is actually the square feet count too! So we are getting a bigger house! 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a huge master suite and I am so excited about that. I think Buck is excited about the whirlpool and the fact he might be able to use the walk in closet instead of using the guest bedroom closet. Shelley will have a dedicated playroom that in the future we can turn it into the office or a guest room.
Not much to say except we are excited to get started building.

Sick Weekend....:(

This past weekend was a long one for the Bishop household. Friday Shelley got sick right after lunchtime at school. So I had to go get her and brought her back to work with me until Buck could get off work around 1. That meant that she was only going to be here like an hour or so. Buck came and got her around 1 oclock and I finished working for the day. I told Buck to watch her and see if she might have just gotten strangled on something that she ate or what she really coming down with something. We were supposed to go over to the Smith’s house for games and pizza but I didn’t want her going if she was sick. He said that she didn’t get sick anymore and we were good to go out to the Smith’s for game night. We headed out to Madison and had a wonderful night. She was playing like normal with all the other kids and then when it was time to lay down she laid down like normal. Well she was up like an hour later and then we left and drove home. Again everything was normal on the drive home.
Saturday was pretty normal. We just played and played in the floor and fed her normal foods. Shelley was going to spend the night at her Ya-Ya ‘s house while we went to church at 5 and then the hockey game at 7:35. So when we arrived to drop her off with my mom she got so sick. She threw up everywhere. Buck and I thought it was just her getting chocked on the feeders that she had with her. So we hosed her down and changed her and went on our merry way. We went to church and didn’t hear anything and all through the first two periods of the Hockey game and I noticed I was getting call from mom and dad. When I answered it was dad asking me what we would do if she got sick again. I told him that we would come and get her and he said that he would try the pedialite juice and see if it was just a stomach bug. We didn’t hear anything the rest of the night and went home after the game and went to bed.
Sunday Morning we woke up to the phone ringing and it was my mom telling me that she had a fever. So I got dressed and went over the mountain to get her. Well let me just back up here for a min. I forgot to tell you that Buck has gotten food poisoning on Sat night from the chicken he made at the house around lunchtime. Neither the bean nor me had any. So during the game Buck started Throwing up everything. I still think it was the bug and he thinks it was the chicken.
So Sunday for me was not the best at all. Buck stayed in bed and tried to help best he could and bean was sick. We called her Dr and he gave her some meds to help her with getting sick. They seem to be working so we sent her to school on Monday. I literally waited by the phone all day for the phone call telling me that she had to come home and never got one. But in the mean time I had gotten sick a few times. I ended up going home and going to the Dr myself. I got a shot and two prescriptions and went home and went to bed. Buck got home and told me that he had gotten a call from her school as he was on his way to get her telling him that Shelley has a 103 temperature. Not good!!!! She was not allowed to come back to school until she was symptom free. So Tuesday she stayed home with me (who was in bed all day). She went to the Dr at 4:30 with her daddy and she was not a happy camper. She saw Dr. Stewart and he took blood, a urine sample and gave her a shot to try and make her feel better. He told us that her White Blood Count was high and wasn’t sure exactly why it was that high. Was hoping that it was the virus that had been going around but wanted us to bring Shelley back for more blood work the next day. He was a little nervous that the infection could have been in her bloodstream. So we went back the next day and everything had gone down. She was still sick and didn’t need to go to school until Monday but the virus that the entire family has now gotten was just causing her levels to be high. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers that everyone sent our way.

Until next time….
